Duke Energy will start work the day after Labor Day at two remote access areas at Devil’s Fork State Park, Lake Jocassee. The north remote (Double Springs) access area temporarily closes Tuesday, September 4 for installation of the new boat ramps and vault toilet. It’s anticipated the south remote (Roundhouse Point) access area will remain open but experience intermittent temporary closures to accommodate the installation of the new toilet. Roundhouse Point access area will have two new picnic sites. The Double Springs area gets two new concrete boat ramps similar to the ramps installed at the south remote access area earlier this year.
