Husband-wife succeed in Ripple of One

The Oconee County-based program Ripple of One is counting a husband and wife with six children as their latest success story. Neither the husband nor the wife had finished high school and the family’s only income was the SSI check for their disabled son. But the couple, with the help of their Ripple of One mentors, obtained their GED. The husband has obtained a job with a Seneca manufacturing company. His wife wants to start college. Ripple of One founder Stephanie Enders said the couple’s government check decreased, but their family’s income is going up. And they’ve opened their first savings account.
