A 66-year old Oconeean died at the scene of a one-car accident yesterday morning near the Sheep Farm Road. Coroner Karl Addis says it appears James Tagtmeyer died of a cardiac event causing him to cross the centerline of Sheep Farm Road, beyond an old road bed, and into a field near the entrance to Stonebrook subdivision. Addis said he learned that Tagtmeyer had been to the Shaver Recreation Complex for walking and running exercise. According to the coroner’s report, there was minimum damage to Tagtmeyer’s 2009 Acura and the driver suffered no accident injuries. A motorist headed east on the Sheep Farm Road witnessed the incident.
