Grant approved for Old St. John’s

A Heritage Corridor grant, worth $12,500, is headed the way of the project to develop Old St. John’s Meeting House in Walhalla. Kim Paradeses, fiscal analyst for the S-C Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism, notified the Rev. Frank Strickland, project manager, that the grant is awarded and work may begin. Two of the 12 pews needed for the building have been subscribed for and are to be built by the carpentry class at the Hamilton Career Center.
