The first Monday in October is known as the start of new U-S Supreme Court terms. But it’s taking on another meaning in Oconee and in public schools across the country. October is National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month. To signify the importance, all Oconee youngsters and adults are asked to wear a blue shirt to create awareness of the need to stomp out bullying. Mary Davis, Tommy Bolger, and Sheridan Vail of Revenel Elemntary, along with Evie Hughes of the Oconee School District Office, dressed in blue tops and posed for this picture to support World Day of Bullying Prevention.
