Gamecock commit Alaina Coates in action at Dutch Fork High School.
Alaina Coates of Dutch Fork High School has committed to play basketball for coach Dawn Staley at South Carolina. Coats is considered to be a national top 30 prospect. Coates chose the Gamecocks over Georgia She Dutch Fork to the 4A state title as a junior. She also finished fourth in the state track championships in the shot put, and plays volleyball.
