Oconee Deputy Fire Chief Buck Haney announced today the selection of Seneca fire fighter Shane Gibbs as the county’s new assistant chief and fire marshal. At Seneca, Gibbs served as fire marshal. Before Seneca, he worked for the Keowee Fire Department. Gibbs has experience and an educational background in fire fighting, fire prevention, fire cause determination, and other aspects of the fire service.
