At 3:36 Tuesday morning, Oconee Medical Center welcomed the first baby to be born at the hospital in 2013. Baby Skii Alexander was born to Edwina and Jimmy Cannon, weighing 7 lbs., 12.6 oz. and measuring 19 ½” long. She was delivered by Dr. Dan Singleton. As the New Year Baby for 2013, the newborn and her family received a special gift basket containing a variety of gifts to celebrate the baby’s arrival.
