State troopers are reporting a car driver lost his life early today in an accident one mile north of Salem. The accident occurred on the Mack Reid Road, not far from the Whitewater Falls Road. According to the investigating trooper, the car went off the left side of the road, hit an embankment, and overturned. For the driver’s identification, the state patrol is referring reporters to the Oconee Coroner’s office.
