Greg Long, deputy coroner for Oconee, says before noon today he will release the name of the Walhallan killed in a mid-afternoon traffic crash yesterday near Walhalla. Long says at the family’s request her name is being withheld for now while other relatives are being notified. The accident occurred at 3:03 p.m. at S-C 11 and Bear Swamp Road. Troopers say it occurred as the decedent’s car attempted to cross 11 from Bear Swamp Road.
