With remarks by Auditor candidate Betsy Redmond, the long series of Oconee County political forums that began early in the year came to an end last night in Fair Play, five days before next week’s big vote. Redmond’s appearance, alongside her opponent Ken Nix, made for the first time in the campaign that the two had spoken at the same public appearance. On 96.3/WGOG NEWS today, we’ll have excerpts of what the two candidates had to say, as well as remarks from the three men competing for Seat Five, Oconee County Council. Incumbent Reg Dexter and his Republican petition candidate challengers Greg Connally and James Glenn Hart also took part in last night’s forum.
