November 9, 2012

The reason for a smoky sky, according to the Oconee Fire Chief, is the controlled burn in progress today at the county’s Echo Hills Industrial Park. There, two building pads are being prepared in a first phase effort at highway 11 property, for which county leaders have high hopes to create jobs through economic development. At Echo Hills this morning, smoke was emitted from the burning of brush.
