Executive director for the Walhalla Chamber of Commerce, Vanessa Penton, called it a good day for celebration in Walhalla, thanks to the Blue Ridge Bank. The Bank celebrated 55 years with a ribbon cutting yesterday at it’s newly remodeled Walhalla branch at the corner of Main and College Streets. When the bank originally opened in 1957, it was located in the current Ken’s Thriftee Pharmacy location. Since then, the bank has moved into its current location and has expanded with an additional branch in Walhalla and a branch in Bountyland. Congratulations to Blue Ridge Bank for 55 years of service!
