Coin thefts at laundries

February 19, 2013

Law enforcement has been told of a pattern to coin thefts in both Seneca and Clemson. The latest one, discovered yesterday at Seneca’s Northwoods Apartments off the Wells Highway, netted the thief or thieves about $100 dollars. The police were told that someone entered the laundry room and used an object to drill a two-inch hole into the side of the coinholder and removed all currency. Apparently a theft similar or identical has occurred at other apartment complexes, including one in Clemson.
