Clemson boil water advisory

December 28, 2012
By

Clemson has issued a boil water advisory affecting customers in five neighborhoods. Those in Lynwood subdivision, Chimney Ridge Apartments, Old Shirley Road, Tabor Street, and Spring Street should vigorously boil their water for at least one full minute before drinking or cooking, until otherwise notified by the city. Any ice made from water that has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes. A water main break in the area prompted the advisory. The city of Clemson has taken samples and the testing should be completed by 9 o’clock tonight. If you have questions, call the utilities department at 864/653-2046 or, after normal hours, the police at 864/624-2000.
