A group of breast cancer survivors at Keowee Key recently held a fundraiser walk and auction. The result is a donation of $3,600 to the Breast Care Center at Oconee Medical Center According to Chris Cox, an organizer, “Our mission is to pay it forward with Breast Cancer and help other women going through the process.” The donation will be used to provide screening mammograms to Oconee women who, otherwise, would not be able to afford a mammogram.
