Clemson President James Barker, after five heart by-passes, says he is beginning to rehab in the Greenville hospital. In a message to the university community, Barker said, “The doctors are pleased with my progress, but they advise that it will take some time to heal. I am beginning by rehab work, and I plan to give it my best.” Barker yesterday was scheduled to be moved from the coronary care unit to a private room.
