T-J Bagwell’s hopes for Walhalla to raise taxes for the good of the city appear to have been dashed by this week’s meeting of the city council committees. The mayor pro-tem and councilman had gone to the bother of arranging a meeting of his own away from City Hall to try to enlist citizen support. And the matter, from what we’ve been told, got a pretty good airing out Tuesday night at City Hall. One participant said even if Bagwell’s wishes had reached a vote, there wasn’t enough support to approve it.
