A 36-year old Oconeean has been arrested on two charges in the Seneca police investigation of metal stolen from a closed business on By-Pass 123. Law enforcement records show William Alan Lake of the Old Clemson Highway was arrested yesterday and charged with the theft of scrap metal at Hughes Equipment and Rental and pulling down a fence at the location for the purpose of making illegal entry. The police say they traced the stolen metal to a local scrap yard, where it was retrieved.
