Gun theft charges have been pinned on a 43-year old Oconee County man. Sheriff’s officers early Tuesday arrested Joey Liston Smith of Beverly Road, Salem on charges of larceny and burglary first degree. The officers acted on a complaint that four guns were taken late last year from an address near Salem, on Bennettsville Road. Reported stolen were .12-gauge shotgun, a snub nose .38, and two Rugers.
