The 2012 Apple Classic Holiday Hoops Tournament got underway Thursday morning at Walhalla High School. The first game of the day saw the Pickens girls defeat Liberty 50-17. The opening game of the boys bracket saw Stephens County, GA defeat Blue Ridge 55-38. Walhalla’s girls play Easley at 6pm Thursday, while the Razorback boys have the final game of the day against Brevard at 7:30. The tournament continues through Saturday.
